A few more layouts :)

Nothing much going on around here, but I did get a few more layouts done the last 2 days. Although my house is quite messy now, lots of laundry & dishes need to be done! I guess I'll have to take a computer break tomorrow & get this place back in shape. Plus I need to get some things done for this weekend, we are having Kyle baptized during mass this coming Sunday! We'll be having a little reception afterwards so I need to get with my mother-in-law & get that lined out, plus I need to remember to call my stepmom & find out if she got his baptismal outfit mended! He will be wearing the same outfit Rob wore to be baptised as well as my younger brother-in-law & both of my nephews! But unfortunately since it is now over 30 years old it needed the sleeve repaired! Hopefully he will fit into it, I haven't tried it on him yet! I think it will, but he's growing so fast! A lot of the layouts I've done were for challenges for the Summer Scrap-Out party over at the DigiChick website and the rest were done for challenges posted by the CT members of Christina Renee over @ DST. Some of those were pretty hard! It was fun participating in all of them & I ended up winning some really cool prizes from The DigiChick!! I won a $15 gift certificate for Kate Hadfield's goodies @ the Lilypad, a $10 gift certificate for Meredith Fenwick's goodies @ Scrapbook Graphics & a $10 gift certificate for Lisa Whitney's goodies @ Scrap Artist!! Plus I ended up buying 6 of the designer's grab bags (only $2 each & full of goodies!) & they were having a 30% off sale in the store so I picked up some papers and a cool felt alpha/number set from a brand new designer, Emily Merritt! Plus Amanda Heimann was so sweet & RAK'd me her grab bag cause I had bought several of her items when she was selling at PDW! And I had to get some of Christina Renee's new stuff to do her challenges including her new collab kit with Shabby Princess! So I have so much new product to work with I don't know what to use next LOL!! I'm gonna need to a bigger external hard drive soon LOL! Here's what all I got from my winnings!

That's my bit of digi-product enabling for today LOL! I don't have my code for Lisa's stuff yet, I believe she is on vacation but I've already scoped out her store & know what I'm gonna get! Her Little Dude Kit and her Graph Paper Alpha with Stitched Edges! I also really like her Chalked Full of Fun Papers, Elements, Doodles & Alpha sets but it is all sold individually so I'll probably Kaboodle it for when Scrap Artist has another good sale & I have paypal $$ to spend!

Well I gotta feed Kyle & get him to bed so I better get!

Busy Week :)

Lots of things happening this past week, here's a recap :)

Saturday 6/30 - Rob helped his brother & our SIL move into their ginormous, beautiful new house way over on the opposite side of town from us! Which took all day cause the previous owners took their sweet time getting their stuff out. The kids & I went shopping for a wedding shower gift at Bed Bath & Beyond and then went and wandered around Super Target to kill some time before going over to BIL's to see the house!

Sunday 7/1 - We attended a couples wedding shower for my stepbrother Andy & my future SIL Kendra.

Monday 7/2 - Hung around the house most of the day, Rob played "beauty shop" with the girls! He'd kill me if he saw these photos of them putting barrettes in his hair!

Tuesday 7/3 - Kyle is 2 months old today!! He had his 2 month well baby visit with our family doctor. He weighed in at a whopping 11 lbs 3 oz & he is now 23 inches long! Dr. Rey couldn't believe how much he'd grown since his last appointment at 2 weeks. He is definitely my chunky little monkey! Unfortunately he had to get 5 shots in his chubby little thighs so he was quite crabby for the rest of the day & into the next day even. He did get 2 cute little Shrek band-aids for his trouble though!

Wednesday 7/4 - Happy 4th of July!! We hung around the house until late afternoon when we had to head over to the park for the girls' cheerleading performance at 4:30. They did a little routine to Surfin' in the USA, it was so cute! All the little girls wore their swim suits, hula skirts, sunglasses, flower leis, etc. & looked adorable! Here are the girls with my niece Audrey right before the performance. They were hamming it up for my MIL! Then one of the girls watching the other performances after theirs & of course one of little man sleeping thru the entire thing! After we were done at the park we headed over to my Dad & Brenda's for a cookout, had some yummy beer can smoked chicken, smoked brisket, potato salad, corn on the cob & watermelon! Then we went outside to do fireworks for a bit before it got dark so my dad could shoot off the "big stuff" he bought. Unfortunately it started pouring buckets of rain before we could do the big stuff. Most of the big fireworks shows in our area ended up getting postponed until the following night cause of the rain! Kyle once again slept thru all the stuff his uncles were shooting off before the rain. His Uncle Matt decided it would be funny to have him hold a roman candle & get his picture taken. Kaylie is a bit scared of the loud stuff so she stayed in the garage "riding" her Papa's John Deere tractor while Kelsie ran around in the driveway in the rain getting soaking wet! Crazy girls!

Thursday 7/5 - Once again lounged around the house for the most of the day LOL! We did go over to Great Grandma Connie's house in the evening to watch the town's big fireworks display from her front porch! We had the perfect view & I had planned on taking some photos of the fireworks but Kyle decided he was hungry & so I didn't get to take any :(

Friday 7/6 - Went over to my Dad's to finally shoot off the big fireworks, once again didn't take any pictures. Oh well!

Saturday 7/7 - Went & signed the girls up for swim lessons to start Monday. Kaylie will be taking the Level 1 class & Kelsie will be taking the Tiny Tots class in the intermediate pool. I'm just glad I don't actually have to get in the pool with her this time, I am so not ready to put on a bathing suit yet! I'm down *almost* to my pre-pregnancy weight but not quite! But I still would like to lose at least 20 lbs below that so we'll see. We're working on eating healthy so every little bit helps! In the evening I went out with my future SIL, her friends & my Stepmom for Kendra's bachelorette party. Just yummy mexican food for dinner, no drinks for me (although I really wanted a margarita) but I had to drive myself home!

Today 7/8 - Rob has 2 softball games & then is going to play tennis with a friend afterwards, the girls are *supposed* to be cleaning their room up & Kyle is taking a nap in his crib! My Dad is supposed to be bringing the other bunk bed over sometime today so that Kelsie will have a big girl bed now! But their room was a total pigsty which would make it a bit difficult to get the bed in their & put the bunk beds together. They've got it done for the most part, but geez it's taken them most of the day! As for me I'd really like to find some motivation to scrap but not sure if that's gonna happen! I haven't done any layouts at all this week! Well sounds like the girls have been loud & woke Kyle up from his nap :( so I better go!

I've got several new layouts to share from the past week or so, most of them done with Kyle in my arms or laying in my lap! I'm getting pretty good at typing one handed, which is really difficult for me cause I'm usually a pretty fast typer!

Right now Kyle's chillin' in his swing but from the sounds & noises he's making I'm pretty sure a dirty diaper change is in my near future LOL! Unfortunately Daddy is not home right now so the yucky diaper duty is all mine :( My husband's good friend Anthony, well his mom is in the final days of her long battle with cancer so Rob went over there to spend some time with her before she passes. Rob & Anthony have been friends since they were pretty little (elementary school I think) so it's pretty hard for him knowing his best friend is going to be losing his mom pretty much any time. So if anyone has any spare prayers for his mom Ortie they'd be much appreciated!

Well Kyle has decided he's had enough of the swing & his dirty diaper so I guess I'll have to cut this one short, I had planned on posting some pictures & other stuff (like my cool new birthday present I got!) too but I guess that'll have to wait for another time! Plus I've got a tag from Andrea that I still need to finish!

6 weeks old!

My little guy is now 6 weeks old, only he's not as little as he once was! He's finally starting to fill out, especially in his face, chin, arms & legs! He's becoming my little chunky monkey LOL! Here's a few new photos & a couple of new layouts too :)

See those chubbs?? Aren't they so sweet & kissable?? Poor little guy, between his mommy & his 2 big sisters he only gets about a thousand kisses a day! But he's finally fitting into some of the many adorable outfits we received as gifts, so I'm glad we'll finally be able to put them to good use instead of taking up space in his closet!

Well time to get Kyle to bed for the night & hopefully watch a movie with Rob. We've been renting movies each week from Family Video cause they have such good deals all the time. I went the other night and got 5 new releases plus 5 older releases all for under $6 with their specials! Can't beat that deal! Last night we watched "Because I Said So" with Diane Keaton & Mandy Moore, it was a really cute movie! Now we have "Music & Lyrics" with Drew Barrymore & Hugh Grant to watch, it looks pretty cute too! Rob usually picks the movies & comes home with horror or action type movies that I won't watch so it was nice to go pick out stuff I wanted to see for once!

Here's some pics of Kyle that I took last weekend, my little guy is getting so big! He's changing so much, I swear even since these were taken he's totally changed & looks completely different! See the last one, he can go from perfectly fine to totally ticked off in about 2 seconds flat I think!

I've been on a scrapping kick this week! Which is amazing considering I have a 5wk old who is pretty attached to his mommy like 24/7 LOL! But the good thing is he's finally taken to napping in his swing which means my arms get a break once in a while! Yay! Also good for getting the house cleaned, laundry done, dishes loaded/unloaded from the dishwasher & all those other fun chores! Here are the 4 I've got done so far & I've got a couple more in the works that will be done soon!

I'm really enjoying being at home with the kids & Rob, its really nice not having to get up & take kids to daycare & drive across town to work any more. I thought I might miss it more than I do, in fact I really don't miss it at all maybe just a few of the people that I used to work with. I've been able to take the girls to playgroup @ our Parents as Teachers group, which we never got to do before cause I was always working. The girls are getting to take a cheerleading class this month, before we'd always have to sign them up for the evening class & now they can take morning classes! They'll get to take swim lessons next month which they are really looking forward to, and they've been asking to go to the city pool so we'll probably start doing that soon too. I think today we're going to go wander around the mall with my Mom while Rob's playing softball, then tonight we're supposed to be going out for Mexican with a friend of Rob's & his girlfriend. But since it's almost 9:30am & the only people awake in our house is me & Kyle, I think I'll try to scrap some more! Cause I know before long I'll have 2 girls up & asking for breakfast!
